Ashton Hoogman
I was very fortunate growing up and had parents who got me into the outdoors safely and supportively so in my adult life I feel I have an obligation to get others into the outdoors as well. With that said I am swift water rescue certified, USLA certified for open water rescue as a lifeguard for cannon beach currently and been surfing all
of my adult life. Only thing I request from the student/s is enthusiasm!
River Hoogman
With a calm, easygoing style and a true love for the ocean, River makes learning to surf fun and stress-free. Known for patience and encouragement, they guide beginners and intermediate surfers at their own pace, helping each student build confidence while catching waves. Whether it’s your first time standing up or you’re looking to refine your skills, River will make sure every lesson is safe, relaxed, and unforgettable.
